A big part of the Lismore Workers Masters Games is our Social Program. On the sports fields competitors can enjoy a competitive and passionate atmosphere and away from the park, attendees can relax and enjoy several functions in the Lismore CBD. It was an inspiring night recently when the Australian Olympic Committee announced a strong 35-person Australian Olympic Swimming Team to compete at the Tokyo Olympic Games. It also showed the power of determination, persistence, hard work and resilience from several of the athletes who have participated at multiple Olympic Games such as Emily Seebohm and Cate Campbell. Lawn Bowls is one of those precision sports, a bit like golf, where a day can go peachy or a little over the trees! It seems simple in theory with the aim to roll the bowl closest to the ‘jack or kitty’ but it is more challenging that it seems. That's why our devoted lawn bowlers at the Masters Games love their sport and especially dread the dreaded “ditch”. You never want your bowl to go in the ditch! (more)

Find your sneakers, grab your teammates (it’s so good that you only need 4 people) and start shooting. Find your local park and try your luck at a few hoops. With men’s and women’s mixed competitions (30+ and 45+), this is one competition you don’t want to miss. (more)

In May we celebrated National Volunteer Week which salutes the significant contribution of Australia’s almost six million volunteers who put in over 600 million hours of purposeful and amazing work. The Lismore Workers Masters Games has been running since 1999 and would not have achieved the levels of success it has without the support of loyal sponsors and our local Lismore community. We are pleased to announce that a new event will be offered for netball at the 12th Lismore Workers Masters Games. Lismore District Netball Association have introduced a Mixed Netball event for male and female players 30 years and over to enter. For the event to proceed, we need at least 4-6 teams to register.
