Organising Committee
On behalf of the Organising Committee, our dedicated staff, the sports convenors and the many valuable volunteers, I would like to welcome all competitors to the 12th Lismore Workers Masters Games.
The Masters Games continue to grow since its inception in 1997 and we look forward to a number of new sports this year across a number of new and exciting venues.
It only seems like yesterday that we were wrapping up the 11th edition of the Games and hasn't the world changed since 2019.
The uncertainty around the COVID pandemic, bushfires and floods have changed our region and lives forever.
An event such as this can bring so much to so many, from helping local businesses, to renewing old friendships and having a laugh, we hope that the 12th edition of the games can bring a smile to everyone's faces.
The Organising Committee is focused on continually improving the sports and the festivities that surround such an iconic event on the Lismore calendar. We want to continue to seeing our visitors, players and spectators enjoying more fun, more food and more friendships during the 12th Games!
To those of you who have come from outside the region we welcome you to our beautiful city and surrounding North Coast area, and hope you enjoy the natural wonders we have to offer as well as the spirit of competition while playing and competing at our excellent sporting facilities. For all of our local competitors, we know that you will relish the company of our visitors for three days and show them what makes these Games and the Northern Rivers so special.
Why not get the team together a day early and enjoy the hospitality of the Lismore Turf Club for the 2022 Lismore Cup on Thursday 22 September.
I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the work of the sports convenors and volunteers and thank them for the excellent job they do in making our Games the undoubted success it is.
I would also like to thank the naming rights sponsor, The Lismore Workers Club and the Lismore City Council for their ongoing support of the event.
Enjoy the Games, enjoy the area and enjoy yourselves!
