Lismore Masters Games
Sept 24-26
2021

The Lismore Workers Masters Games began back in 1999 and has since gone from strength to strength. Now going into its 12th year, the biennial games bring sporting enthusiasts from all walks of life to Lismore to compete and have fun. Being the sporting centre for the region, Lismore always puts on a strong and competitive Masters Games.

Masters Games are multi-sport events designed to cater for mature age sportspeople and provide them with the opportunity to participate in their chosen activity and to compete with their age peers.

The burgeoning popularity of Masters Games is something of a modern-day phenomenon with competitors attracted to the friendship, fun and competitive aspects associated with each event. As a rule, the age of competitors are Women 30 and over and Men 35 and over (although this can be modified).

Lismore City Council has been the promoter and organiser for all eleven Masters Games - this years' Games will be our twelfth. Every Masters Games has had an organising Games Committee that has worked hard to build the event to its current high standard. The Games provide a significant economic and social impact to Lismore through visitation and participation and associated benefits to our participating sports associations.

The Lismore Masters Games have included sports and activities such as: Badminton, Golf, Running, Swimming, Baseball, Netball, Football, Tennis, Canoeing, Oztag, Squash, Touch, Cricket, Rugby Union, Softball, Volleyball, Basketball, Surf Lifesaving, Pool/8 Ball, Hockey, Sailing, Tennis, Table Tennis, Lawn Bowls, Dressage, Rugby Union, Soccer, Softball and Mini Olympics.

Just as important though is the social program! The social program that the Lismore Masters Games is renowned for, ensures competitors, supporters and officials are kept entertained on and off the field. Live bands, entertainment and great dining all within walking distance of the games headquarters means competitors can play just as much as they compete.

Join us for a weekend of action and fun!
